Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does a wellbeing or life coach do?

A wellbeing coach supports you to improve your mental and emotional health. Through compassionate guidance and curiosity, they help you clarify your priorities, build healthier habits, manage stress, and create balance in your life, offering encouragement, practical tools, and accountability so you can feel more empowered, resilient, and fulfilled.

  • How is coaching different from therapy or counselling?

Therapy and counselling often explore past experiences, trauma, or mental health conditions, while coaching is more future-focused. A wellbeing coach works with you to build confidence, healthier habits, and balance in your life, supporting you to move forward with practical tools and strategies, goal setting, self reflection and gentle accountability. Coaching isn’t about diagnosis - it’s about helping you thrive in the present and creating the future you want.

  • Who is coaching for?

Coaching is for anyone who wants to feel more balanced, confident, and fulfilled. It’s especially supportive if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to make positive changes in your life but aren’t sure where to start. You don’t need to be “struggling” to benefit - coaching is for anyone who wants to prioritise their wellbeing and move forward with clarity and confidence.

  • What kind of challenges can coaching help with?

Coaching can support you with a wide range of challenges, such as managing stress, improving self-care, setting healthy boundaries, building confidence, creating balance between work and personal life, and breaking free from unhelpful patterns like people-pleasing or perfectionism. It can also help you navigate life changes, handle difficult conversations, explore relationship dynamics, or simply give you a safe space to reflect and talk.

  • What can I expect from a coaching session?

Each coaching session is a safe, supportive space just for you. We’ll talk through what’s on your mind, explore what feels challenging, and focus on the changes you’d like to see. Together, we’ll break things down into small, manageable steps so you leave with clarity, encouragement, and practical tools you can use in everyday life. Coaching is always collaborative and client-led, with gentle guidance if needed, so you feel empowered to make choices that truly work for you.

  • How many coaching sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on your goals and what you want to achieve. Some people notice changes in just a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing support over several months to create lasting habits and growth. Typically, a coaching plan is flexible and tailored to your needs, so I offer a choice of 3, 6 or 10 sessions so you can decide what feels right for you.

  • Do you offer online sessions?

Yes! Coaching sessions can be held online, making it easy and convenient to connect from wherever you are in the world. This allows you to receive support in a way that fits your schedule and lifestyle, without needing to travel. Often my clients book sessions in lunch breaks or first thing in the morning, fitting around their working day.

  • Will coaching give me all the answers?

Coaching isn’t about giving you all the answers - it’s a collaboration to help you find your own. The answers are already within you, and coaching helps you uncover them, supporting you to trust yourself and make choices that align with your values and needs. It’s not about being told what to do, but about guiding and encouraging you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and options so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and a sense of empowerment.

  • Is coaching confidential?

Absolutely! Coaching sessions are a safe and private space. Everything you share is kept confidential, allowing you to speak openly, reflect honestly, and explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement. The only exception is if there is a safeguarding concern, such as risk to life, where I have an ethical duty to share this with the relevant clinical authorities.

  • How do I know if you’re the right coach for me?

The best way to find out is to book a free discovery call. Coaching is a partnership, so it’s important that we both feel comfortable and connected. The session gives you a chance to ask questions and see how I work, while also allowing me to understand your needs and goals, so together we can decide if we’re the right fit for each other.

  • What if I don’t know what I want to achieve?

That’s perfectly okay! Coaching isn’t just for people with clear goals - it’s also for those who feel unsure or stuck. Together, we’ll explore what matters to you, what feels out of balance, and what you’d like more of in your life. Often, clarity emerges through the coaching process itself, helping you discover your priorities and next steps along the way. Sometimes just feeling supported and heard is the first step.

  • How do I pay for coaching sessions?

Payment is required upfront at the point of booking your package, before your first session begins. This secures your appointment and ensures everything is set for a focused, uninterrupted coaching experience. For those who may need more financial flexibility, payment can be split into two instalments to make it easier to manage, however this is agreed on a discretionary basis.
